At Cardinality, we are constantly striving to push boundaries and redefine what's possible. Our annual Leadership Kickoff is a testament to this spirit, bringing together our brightest minds to connect, strategize, and celebrate. This year's session, held in the vibrant atmosphere of Rockville, was no exception.

The energy was electric as our team – a strong mix of seasoned veterans and talented newcomers – gathered. It was a chance for everyone to connect, share ideas, and bond over a singular purpose - improve the lives and communities we serve!
“It's culture, it's in our DNA. We're not perfect, but We care! We want to do good, we want to solve complex problems, and we achieve that by supporting each other. It's important for our newer colleagues to feel it, and we all felt it.” - says Thiag, my brother and partner, who also happens to be the CEO and Co-founder of Cardinality.

We weren't all work and no play, though. After a productive day of brainstorming, we headed out for a night of friendly competition at the lanes. Bowling pictures perfectly capture the camaraderie – a group of accomplished individuals who enjoy working hard and having fun together (think high fives and good-natured ribbing!).

Let’s just say the competition was fierce, with Thiag claiming the title of the highest scorer! Deb Harrington, ever the bowling aficionado, brought her bowling ball and her form was on fire! 😀

This wasn't just about work, it was also about learning from industry leaders. Jeff Bloomfield, a special guest speaker, delivered a fascinating session on leadership. He explored how our brains react differently to various approaches. Jeff highlighted the importance of understanding how we approach others, both clients and employees, to build lasting and positive relationships.

"In my experience, success isn't just about strategy; it's about the passion and skill of the people tasked with executing it. Cardinality's team embodies both, making them an unstoppable force for positive change.", Jeff emphasized.

Empathy was a key theme - the importance of empathizing with clients as well as with each other/employees.
The Cardinality Way is our innovative implementation model:

The Leadership Kickoff culminated in a heartwarming, family-style dinner hosted by Thiag and his family. This wasn't just a formal gathering; it was a chance to connect on a personal level. Laughter filled the room as colleagues shared stories and celebrated each other's achievements.

Before saying our goodbyes, the next day’s wrap-up lunch at Tysons provided a final opportunity to share key takeaways and firm up plans for the year ahead. As we move forward, we are brimming with confidence, renewed enthusiasm, and a clear plan of action for the exciting things that await us in 2024!
I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the movie Finding Nemo - "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming!"
